Privacy Notice (KVKK)
How the personal data you share through our contact form, online placement tests and mock exams is processed under Turkey's Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (KVKK). Summary — the Turkish text is authoritative.
This page is a condensed summary provided for convenience. In case of any discrepancy, the Turkish text (KVKK Aydınlatma Metni) prevails.
Akademi Dil Merkezi (“the Institution”), acting as data controller under Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data (“KVKK”), provides this notice under Article 10 of the Law to explain what happens to the personal data you submit through the contact form, the online placement tests and the IMAT / CEnT‑S mock exams on this website.

Data we process
When you fill in one of the forms on our website, only the information in the form and the test is processed:
- Full name (the pupil's name in school tests)
- Email address and phone number (the parent's in school tests)
- School, grade and city (school tests); school attended, YKS score and ranking (mock exams; score and ranking optional)
- Partner institution (optional)
- The programme you are interested in and your message (contact form)
- Your test and exam answers, score, level and topics to work on

What you write in the message field is up to you; please do not include special categories of data such as health, religion or political opinions.
The optional photo you add in a placement test is used only on your own device, to show it on your on-screen and PDF report; it is not sent to us or stored on our servers. For under-18s, the form in school tests must be completed and approved by a parent.
Purposes
- Receiving, recording and evaluating your enquiry
- Contacting you by email or phone about your enquiry
- Providing information on the course, exam or service you asked about
- Scoring your test or mock exam, presenting it to you as a report, and our consultant discussing your result with you
Your data is not used for any other purpose.
Legal basis
Your data is processed on the basis of the explicit consent you give by ticking the checkbox before sending the form (Article 5, paragraph 1 of the KVKK). You may withdraw your consent at any time through one of the application routes below; withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before that date.
Transfers
Our website and the software that receives the forms run on servers of a hosting provider in Turkey. Placement test and mock exam results are kept on that server in a record file that is not accessible from the internet. Form contents are also sent to our institution's email addresses; because our business email is provided by Google Workspace, these emails are stored on Google's servers outside Turkey, which means your data is transferred abroad for that purpose. The transfer is carried out in line with the conditions of Article 9 of the KVKK. Beyond that, your data is shared only with legally authorised public authorities on request and to the extent required by law; it is never sold or passed on for marketing.
Retention
Data sent through the forms and tests is kept for at most 2 (two) years after your enquiry or the follow-up on your result is completed, or longer where legislation requires it. At the end of that period, or when you withdraw consent, the data is deleted, destroyed or anonymised.
Your rights (Article 11 of the KVKK)
- Learn whether your personal data is being processed
- Request information about the processing, if it is
- Learn the purpose of processing and whether the data is used in line with it
- Know the third parties, in Turkey or abroad, to whom the data has been transferred
- Request correction of incomplete or inaccurate data
- Request erasure or destruction of the data under the conditions set out in the Law
- Request that corrections, erasure or destruction be notified to third parties who received the data
- Object to an outcome against you that results solely from automated analysis of the data
- Claim compensation for damage caused by unlawful processing
